Inside the Birmingham Broad Street Hotel after an £8m refurb - and new name

This renowned hotel on Broad Street in Birmingham city centre has undergone a dramatic transformation - and it’s got a new name

Here’s how £8m can transform a Birmingham landmark hotel on Broad Street.

The former Jury’s Inn near the Figure of Eight on the corner of Berkley Street, has undergone a makeover - and is now known as Leonardo Royal Hotel.

The four star venue has officially revealed its stunning new look which sees all of the hotel’s interiors completely modernised. The lobby and reception area have been transformed too - with a new guest relations desk and a comfortable, raised seating area for guests to enjoy prior to check-in.

Leonardo Royal Hotel Birmingham is now also home to Leo’s Bar and Restaurant which comes with a new extensive menu - including a selection of tasty light bites, main courses and desserts.

Food can be enjoyed in the restaurant or hotel bar with a chilled glass of wine or refreshing cocktail. The hotel has also opened a new state of the art gym, which is fully kitted out with a range of professional cardio and resistance equipment.

Renovations to the hotel’s 445 bedrooms began last year and all rooms now feature stylish décor, alongside 49-inch televisions with access to Chromecast, fully stocked mini fridges, luxurious White Company toiletries and Leonardo Hotels’ exclusive DREAM beds.

Melissa Lawlor, General Manager of Leonardo Royal Hotel Birmingham, comments: “The recent rebrand from Jurys Inn Birmingham to Leonardo Royal Hotel Birmingham has significantly helped to mark Leonardo Hotel’s impressive expansion into the UK market.

“Now, following this incredible £8m refurbishment project, we are extremely delighted to launch yet another Leonardo Royal brand into the UK and we can’t wait to welcome new and returning guests to experience the newly transformed hotel which boasts a beautiful, modern and stylish look.”
