Police name Birmingham man charged with murder after fatal stabbing in Aston

Police have charged a man with murder following a fatal stabbing in Aston earlier this week.

Abdulbaki Maiel-Aga was arrested in connection with the death of 43-year-old Minh Tran at an address in Arden Road, Acocks Green, on Tuesday morning (16 January).

The 44-year-old has now been charged with murder and he was remanded to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court today.

A statement from West Midlands Police, read: "Our enquiries are ongoing and we are keen to hear from anyone with information. We are particularly keen to speak to anyone who was in the Arden Road area at around 11.30pm on Monday.
