Heroin, crack cocaine recovered in Birmingham as man arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs

A man was arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply in Birmingham.

West Midlands Police stopped a car on Colebourne Road Wednesday evening (August 16) shortly after 10pm. They had received information which suggested an individual was running a County Lines Class A drugs line.

Police recovered cash and two phones from the vehicle and later recovered a quantity of Class A drugs including heroin and crack cocaine. A 21-year-old man remains in custody on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply.

West Midlands Police said: “Operation Target sees West Midlands Police taking a defiant stand against a range of serious and organised crime offences – from drug dealing and burglary to cyber crime and fraud. Officers will be using local intelligence, seizing goods, carrying out warrants and targeting offenders as part of Op Target’s ongoing crackdown against serious and organised crime.”
