Anytime gym to open in Birmingham city centre as the 24/7 fitness concept continues to expand

A new Anytime Fitness gym is set to open in Birmingham city centre.

The investment group Topland has secured the 24-hour gym franchise as a tenant for its Paradise View development in the city centre.

Anytime, which operates almost 200 gyms across the UK, will let a 4,500 sq ft unit as part of the regeneration of the former Beneficial Building at Paradise Circus. This will be Anytime’s fourth gym in Birmingham and the first located in the city centre.

The company currently has gyms in Edgbaston, Yardley and Quinton. In a statement to Insider Media, Daniel Penn, head of network development at Anytime Fitness UK, said: “We’re excited to be bringing an Anytime Fitness gym to Paradise View.

“As a franchised business, all our locations are independently-owned and firmly embed themselves as a key part of the local community. We will provide the local area with a convenient and caring gym which has everything they need to achieve their health goals.”

We look forward to welcoming Anytime Fitness to this exciting project.”

The redevelopment of paradise, which is set to be completed in January 2024, has involved Topland and partner CoLico Living converting the former office building into 159 build-to-rent apartments, supported by 8,000 sq ft of retail and amenity space in addition to the Anytime Fitness gym.
