Video: We visit the Birmingham animal lover saving hundreds of hedgehogs lives at her home

“People are so selfish - blocking up holes in garden fences, ripping up perfectly good grass and putting down astroturf because they can’t be bothered to cut it - they just don’t realise the problems they are causing for hedgehogs.”

These are just two of the dangers that Sharon Baker has highlighted as she cares for injured hedgehogs at her home in Maypole, Birmingham, where she has set up her non-profit organisation Array4Hogs dedicated to caring for the animals.

Strimming injuries have been high on her agenda lately as she prepares to accept an award for her dedicated work at the Westside BID WOWs tonight (Sunday, January 28).
