Birmingham Airport passengers have shared photos on social media showing long queues as they attempt to fly off for a holiday, with some complaints over the last week as well as this morning (11 April) about waiting times.

Fortunately, the situation in Birmingham has been improving, and some travellers have also praised the service and said they have had no problems today.

The airport is deploying colleagues in support roles to provide extra help to customers over the next week, including reminders on making sure hand luggage is compliant before they go into the security check zone.
