It may seem surprising for many of us drivers in Birmingham - but our beloved city has been named among the top 10 European cities for driving.
Yes, we’ve got potholes, low traffic neighbourhoods, the Clean Air Zone and traffic - lots and lots of traffic - to negotiate, but that hasn’t stopped the car insurance team at Compare the Market rating Brum as one of the best places to drive.

Hide AdBirmingham has made it into the the top 10 of the ranking and is just one of one three UK cities mentioned in the new research which names the top 30.
Birmingham has ranked at number 7 while Liverpool is at number 16 and London is 23rd. Prague in the Czech Republic is topping the tables with a low traffic inefficiency score of 77.50 and 168 car parks per 100,000 people. You can see the full table here:
