The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight’s Dakota will perform three flypasts over Shropshire's RAF Museum this weekend
A restored Second World War plane will fly over the West Midlands this weekend.
The RAF Museum Midlands confirmed that the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight’s (BBMF) Dakota is scheduled to carry out three flypasts over the museum in Cosford this Sunday (May 31).
Eagle-eyed enthusiasts will be able to see the flypast take place at approximately 2.55pm.

The aircraft will approach Cosford from the south before departing to the east/northeast on its return to RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire.
The BBMF’s Dakota ZA947, named ‘Kwicherbichen’ by her crews, conducted paradropping operations on the eve of D-Day, plus missions to evacuate casualties and re-supply forces.
Now it is one of 11 historic, irreplaceable aircraft maintained and operated by the BBMF. These aircraft can be regularly seen in the skies over the UK from May to September each year, to celebrate and commemorate public and military events including major airshows.
The BBMF is a regular RAF unit which is funded by the Ministry of Defence.
