Some Arcade Fire fans are demanding ticket refunds for the band’s concert in Birmingham today (2 September) after their frontman Win Butler was accused of sexual misconduct.

Butler has been accused by three women and one gender-fluid person, according to Pitchfork. The three women were fans of the band between the ages of 18 and 23 who interacted with the singer when Butler was between 36 and 39. The time period was 2016 to 2020. The singer has said the interactions were all consensual and not initiated by him.

The gender-fluid person claimed Butler sexually assaulted them twice in 2015. They were 21 and he was 34 at the time.

Canadian singer Feist, the opening act of the rock band, has pulled out of the tour. “I can’t solve that by quitting, and I can’t solve it by staying. But I can’t continue,” she said in a statement to Pitchfork.

Arcade Fire are set to perform in Birmingham at Utilita Arena Birmingham starting at 7pm.

Now, fans who were set to attend the Birmingham performance have asked Ticketmaster for a refund following the allegations.

“Wounded about the Win Butler allegations! @Ticketmaster how do I go about getting a refund for the @arcadefire show in Birmingham tomorrow night?! Doesn’t sit right attending anymore,” wrote Adam Brown on Twitter.

Another fan, Tracy Clarke, wrote: “@TicketmasterCS I have two standing tickets for @arcadefire tonight in Birmingham. Support has been cancelled (rightly so) and why on earth would I want to go to cheer on this man!! Please cancel or offer refunds. It’s a disgrace!”

TicketMaster and Arcade Fire have been contacted for their comment.
