See which Ofsted rating schools in Sandwell received this year
Scores of youngsters will be stepping into the next phase of their education as they start secondary school in September.
As preparations are made for their first day at ‘big’ school, we have put together a list of all of the primary and secondary schools in the Sandwell area which received Ofted ratings in 2022, according to the Ofsted website.
Schools across the country are regularly inspected by the education watchdog and are graded on a four-point scale.
‘Outstanding’ is the top rating a school can receive, ‘good’ is second, ‘requires improvement’ the third and ‘inadequate’ is the worst.

13. St Francis Xavier Catholic Primary School, Oldbury - requires improvement
The latest report said: “Leaders and staff want the best for pupils. However, the school has experienced a
period of turbulence due to the impact of COVID-19 and significant changes in its
staff. Consequently, not all pupils achieve as well as they should in reading, writing

14. Wednesbury Oak Academy, Tipton - good
The latest Ofsted inspection in 2022 said: “The pupils are very much at the heart of Wednesbury Oak Academy. The staff know
them as individuals. They make good use of this to care for them and help them to

15. Woods Bank Academy, Wednesbury - Requires Improvement
The school’s latest Ofsted inspection in February, said:”The disruption caused by the pandemic has unsettled some pupils. Currently, staff
are providing extra support to help them get used to school again. This is starting to

16. Summerhill Primary School, Tipton - good
The latest Ofsted report in March, read: “Pupils at Summerhill Primary Academy are prepared well for learning at secondary school.
They study a wide variety of different subjects and reach high standards in English and
