9 brilliant pictures of Curzon Wharf development that will transform Birmingham’s skyline

New CGI photos reveal plans for the new Curzon Wharf complex

Photos of a highly anticipated development have been unveiled in a world’s first opportunity that will transform the Birmingham skyline.

The £360 million Curzon Wharf scheme would see industrial land next to the Dartmouth Circus island and the A38 Aston Expressway transformed into a huge complex centred around a 53-storey residential building – that would become the tallest building in Birmingham.

If accepted the plans could make history as developers, Woodbourne Group, hope to provide the world’s first net zero carbon-ready that is highly energy efficient and fully powered from on-site and/or off-site renewable energy sources.

Up to 732 student apartments, 620 residential homes as well as a host of retail and food and drink outlets are included in the huge plans. Now new photos of the Curzon Wharf canal area, shops, terraces and public squares have been unveiled.
