Hundreds of runners braved the heat during the 2022 Solihull Half Marathon and 10K run on Sunday (14 August).
Around 1,000 people took part in the race to raise money for charity with temperatures exceeding 30 degrees.
The half marathon route started and finished in Solihull town centre on New Road. The route included Knowle town centre, a stretch of countryside and the event village in Malvern Park, where food and live music was on show after the race.
The race started by following New Road into Malvern Park, leaving the park via Widney Manor Road, to reach Knowle town centre. A countryside section through Barston and Eastcote followed, which included the steeper inclines and declines of the course. The route returned to Knowle before following Widney Manor Road and Malvern Park back to Solihull town centre.
The 10k followed the start and end of this route, with an earlier turn around point.
