More than 1,200 gathered to celebrate the best of Birmingham Business at the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce Awards on Friday (March 4).
It’s the first time the annual event has been held in real life since the Covid-19 pandemic struck.
And there was huge excitement about the return of the popular event which was buzzing with pride and passion for what local firms across Birmingham and beyond have achieved in recent times.
Touchwood Solihull walked away with the top gong for Business of the Year, after scooping the prize in the Excellence in Hospitality & Retail category.
The team led by general manager Tony Elvin have excelled in fantastic customer service at the shopping centre which has bucked the retail trend of mass shop closures with sales coming within 2.9% of pre-pandemic levels in 2019.
Their innovative Enterprise scheme has seen over 50 start-ups take up the opportunity for their business to have their first ever ‘high-street’ presence.
