Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham is steeped in history having been called a “national treasure” by Historic England. The area has the most extensive surviving group of Victorian and 20th-century buildings connected to the manufacture of jewellery and similar small goods in Europe.
It may not be a purely industrial neighbourhood anymore but its unique character remains till today. It still has a thriving jewellery industry and is also a space for hospitality and creative industry.
There are several interesting attractions in the neighbourhood, which has also become a lot more residential now. Several big developers are working towards creating homely and modern apartments for future residents.
