Grand Central Kitchen

Google rating: 4.8/5

What customers are saying: “Me and my partner came here during a weekend away, and the food was amazing! They provide gluten free bread so there is a wide range of gluten free options from breakfasts to sandwiches/paninis. I had a mocha, and can honestly say it’s one of the best I have tasted. The staff were very accommodating and attentive, with the service being quick, but the quality of food was exceptional. We even returned for a second time before going home!”

Address: New Oxford House, 16 Waterloo St, Birmingham B2 5UG

Google rating: 4.8/5

What customers are saying: “Had a fantastic lunch here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. As we were lunching we went for the seven course tasting menu and a carafe of white wine and a glass of red rather than having the wine pairing. Each of the courses, and indeed the snacks, were delicious. Real standouts were the quail and the pumpkin custard dessert.

“Each dish was a brilliant mix of textures and flavours and beautifully presented. Service was great and we even got a little bottle of syrup each to make salted caramel coffees. Another fantastic experience at Adam’s and hopefully one we’ll be able to enjoy again.”

Land Restaurant

Address: 30 Great Western Arcade, Birmingham B2 5HU

Google rating: 4.8/5

What customers are saying: “My partner booked us an eight course tasting menu but with the pandemic we couldn’t make it they understood this and gave us a voucher for next time. When we booked again the menu did change so we had to pay £20 on top of the voucher that would have covered the cost of the previous menu. A little on the pricey side but the food was amazing and all vegan! They offer wine that pairs with the food.”

A wonderful dining room, with attentive and warm staff, not too over crowded, so a good atmosphere but privacy too. Each course was magnificent, some with brilliant theatre and all with incredible flavours. Well worth a visit, an experience you won’t forget. Expensive, but worth every penny.”

Gaucho

Address: Lower Ground Retail, 55 Colmore Row, Birmingham B3 2AA

Google rating: 4.5/5

What customers are saying: “Great service, great vibe. Beautiful interior. If you want to celebrate something special, this is definitely a great place to go. In my experience, unless you get the churrasco marinated cuts, the meat lacks flavour for the price you pay for it.

“They do cook it well,  but it just tastes like any other steak to me. The butter mushrooms also were a bit skimpy and came in a stodgy sauce. I think they can step the food up a nudge to compliment the otherwise immaculate vibe.”
