One reviewer said: “As a Ju ju’s regular I’ve come to learn that Sundays are super busy, especially when the weather is nice. And there are very good reasons they’re so busy: They’ve got the best Sunday roast in the city, authentic staff who are proud to work there, and who take pride in their job, and of course the cool outside seating by the canal.”

The Plough Harborne

One reviewer said: “We go to the Plough regularly, the service is always excellent, very friendly and attentive. It was the first time we’d had the Sunday roast and it really did not disappoint. Just like on their normal weekday menu, the food was of a very good standard. The roast dinners we both had were possibly the best roasts we’ve ever had out.”

The Red Lion

Tripadvisor rating: 4.5/5 (381 reviews)

One reviewer said: “Four of us ate one of the best Sunday lunches I’ve had in a long time - and certainly far better than I could cook myself! Beef was succulent and just the right shade of pink in the middle, chicken was moist and included breast and leg, and my belly pork was meltingly soft with crisp bubbly crackling and lovely sharp apple sauce. All the vegetables were fresh, not frozen, and were properly cooked.”

One reviewer said: “Just spent a lovely afternoon cruising around Birmingham canals enjoying some lovely food and great company. Nav and Gurj were the perfect hosts, really friendly! From beginning to end the trip was so enjoyable, the atmosphere was great and we had a humorous introduction from the boat operator before we set off which really set the tone. The food was delicious; lovely chef; worth every penny.”
