More than 1,400 places across England and Wales feature in the Best Places to Live 2025 guide produced by Garrington Property Finders.
Their data analysts have identified nearly 1,450 cities, towns and villages across England and Wales that all score highly in at least one of five selection criteria – natural beauty, wellbeing, schools and jobs, heritage and value for money.
Birmingham and the West Midlands features both highs and lows in Garrington’s latest rankings.
These are the top places to live in the region - many of which are perfect for families, offering excellent value for money, great schools, good job opportunities and beautiful nature to explore on your doorstep.

1. Whitnash, Leamington Spa
Whitnash has been named the best place to live in the region for 2025. It has been named the 16th best place to live in England and Wales overall. House prices having dropped by 1.78% per cent over the last 12 months | Google

2. Knowle and Dorridge, Solihull

3. Ledbury
Ledbury has been named the third best place to live. The Herefordshire market town was also named the 44th best palce to live in England and Wales. House prices increased by 3.53% over last 12 months | google

4. Kenilworth, Shropshire
Kenilworth was named the fourth based place to live according to the data. It was ranked the 56th best in England and Wales. It scored particularly well for heritage and culture and wellbeing. House price change over last 12 months: fell by 1.26% | google
