13. Vyse Street Buildings - August's Spotlight 2023
Vyse Street, created in the late 1840s, was initially made up of terraced houses for professionals and affluent small masters. Over time, these houses were populated by small jewellery and metal-working businesses, with gardens and courtyards built over to create more workshops. This development was a response to land shortage, with buildings squeezed into tiny plots.
