Birmingham-born comedian and television presenter Jasper Carrott is one of the biggest names to come out of the city.
Perhaps best known for his stand-up shows and presenting game show Golden Balls between 2007 and 2009, Jasper, who was born in Acocks Green, is a true a Brummie legend.
As an actor, he starred in classic sitcoms such as The Detectives and All About Me. A man of many talents, Carrott even had a UK Top 5 chart hit in 1975 with the novelty double A-side record, 'Funky Moped'/'Magic Roundabout' produced by fellow Brummie lcon Jeff Lynne of ELO.

1. Jasper's childhood home

3. Moseley Grammar School
After Acocks Green Primary, Jasper attended the Moseley Grammar School as a teenager where he started to develop his famous sense of humour | google

4. The Boggery, Knowle (Now the Old Silhilians Rugby Club)
In February 1969, he started his own folk club, "The Boggery", in nearby Solihull with his friend Les Ward. Carrott performed folk songs and as an MC.
