We’ve been digging around in the old football archives - and this is just the start of what we’ve found

Rich history, strong traditions and fierce rivalries are all parts of any football club’s past, present and future.

And for many fans looking back at their club’s history is an emotional reminder of the journey and passion that’s involved.

So we’ve been digging in the old newspaper archives to take a look back at any old nostalgic football photos we can find. Among them we’ve found old images of Birmingham City, Wolves & Aston Villa to name a few.

But we need your help! Do you know anymore information about these photographs? On some of the images the captions are limited and we’d love to know more.

Tudor Owen played in goal for football clubs including Newcastle United, Derby County, Crewe, and Shrewsbury Town. He became a director of Shrewsbury Town and later succeeded Henry Yates as president of the club.
