It was a period like no other in Birmingham, with a thriving nightlife scene across the city when phrase like 'totally radical' were hip and the 'Yuppies' came to town.
The iconic Rum Runner nightclub on Broad Street became the place to be for music fans as the venue played a significant role in the New Romantics scene in the city - hosting a number of Birmingham's up-and-coming bands at the time, including Duran Duran. And who can forget The Dome, Faces International and more.
Steven Knight's new BBC drama This Town is set to air on Easter Sunday (March 31) and is set in Birmingham and Coventry during the 80s.

1. The Dome, Bristol Street
