Barston, a village in Solihull, was named the poshest area of the West Midlands region. The newspaper said of the village: "Bordered by the River Blythe, Barston feels rural yet it has quick access to transport networks. It’s a five-minute drive to the M42, and the train to Birmingham runs from the neighbouring village of Knowle. An HS2 interchange station is being built to the north of Barston to provide Solihull, Birmingham Airport and the NEC with a fast service to London."
This is the second year in a row that Barston has been named the poshest village in the region by the newspaper.

The village also possesses two pubs, The Bulls Head Archived and The Malt Shovel in Eastcote.
