Birmingham is home to an amazing array of top quality restaurants that have won parise far and wide - and even shocked some London-centric food critics.
One of our most esteemed assets is are amazing array of fantastic Michelin starred restaurants.
The city is home to five restaurants that have been honoured with a Michelin star - more than any other city outside London. These are: Purnells on Cornwall Street in the city centre; Simpsons in Edgbaston; Adam’s over on Waterloo Street in the city centre; Carter’s of Moseley and Opheem on Summer Row in the city centre.
And joining them is Grace & Savour in Hampton Manor in Hampton-in-Arden, Solihull, which was awarded one star as the 2023 Michelin Guide was announced last night (Monday, March 27).
In addition to the Michelin stars, Birmingham and Solihull have several restaurants recommended by Michelin which have not received stars, including Harborne Kitchen and The Wilderness in the Jewellery Quarter.
