The West Midlands is the home to some amazing restaurants and the culinary giants of Birmingham and around have been named in 2023’s Michelin guide.
There are more than a dozen restaurants from the region that have made it into the prestigious list and each of them offer something unique. For food connoisseurs in the city - these restaurants are not ones to be missed. They offer the best of modern British, Indian, Peruvian, and other cuisines.
And these amazing restaurants are not limited to Birmingham City Centre. Some incredible neighbourhood restaurants from Edgbaston, Solihull and Barnt Green have also been included for the great food they have to offer. All the local Michelin-starred restaurants across the region are also in the list.
It’s an amazing time for the restaurant scene in Birmingham with the city named ‘the UK’s most exciting food destination’ earlier in the year in the latest Good Food Guide.

1. Land
Land offers a vegan fine dining experience in the heart of the city. This independent restaurant in the Great Western Arcade focuses on seasonal produce. 3. Purnell’s in Birmingham City Centre - Michelin star

4. Asha’s in Birmingham City Centre
