Property company Zoopla have shared their statistics on the most expensive towns and cities in 2024.
We've taken a look at the data which reveals the average house prices in each town and city in the region. The average house price in Birmingham is £211,500, meaning it's the 11th cheapest place to live in the region.
Figures actually show that house prices dropped in Birmingham in November. The 1.8% drop contributes to the longer-term trend, which has seen property prices in the area suffer a 3.1% annual decline, Land Registry figures show.
Over the last year, the average sale price of property in Birmingham fell by £7,200 – putting the area 23rd among West Midlands’s 30 local authorities with price data for annual growth.
