The Great Birmingham Run is just around the corner, and thousands of participants will be hitting the city streets. There will be many more on the lookout to see if they can spot their friends and family.

Hide AdAs with nearly all outdoor events, the weather will be of interest to those involved. Ahead of the big day, we’ve compiled information from the Met Office to piece together how the forecast is looking for race day.
It looks as though there won’t be any rain around to ruin the day. However, muggy temperatures might make some stretches of the routes slightly more tricky.
From 7am onwards, there will be plenty of clouds around Birmingham. In addition to this, even at this early time, temperatures will be up in double figures.

A cloudy day with showery outbreaks of rain pushing north through the morning. Occasional heavier bursts are possible during the afternoon, possibly turning somewhat drier by the evening. Feeling cooler. Maximum temperature 16C.
The chance of some showery rain this evening, but this will be mostly light. Turning generally dry overnight, but staying largely cloudy. Remaining mild. Minimum temperature 10C.
