The city of Birmingham has played host to some of the most amazing feats of achievement, as well as breaking some bizarre world records.
Birmingham holds 111 Guinness World Records, including the oldest person to feature on the cover of Vogue and oldest dog to win Best in Show at Crufts.
The record-breaking body first began in the early 1950s as a book of facts to settle pub arguments and has now turned into a global brand.
With over 60,000 recorded achievements in the Guinness World Records, we’ve taken a look at some of the most bizarre records in Birmingham.
1. Largest LEGO® brick mammoth

2. Most people wearing sock puppets (single venue)
The Guiness World Record for most people wearing sock puppets in a single venue was awarded to The Blue Coat School in 2019. The entire school of 628 people took part, regardless of age to achieve the title together. | New Africa - stock.adobe.com
3. Most expensive hot cross bun

4. Most eggs crushed with the toes in one minute
Toe Wrestler Alan Nash holds the world record for most eggs crushed with the toes in one minute. Live on Britain’s Got Talent auditions, Nash crushed an impressive 60 eggs, meaning he was crushing one egg per second. | @AlanNastynash on Twitter
