New restaurant Willow to bring Mediterranean flair to Sutton Coldfield when it opens next month

Sutton Coldfield is set to welcome a new dining destination as Parogon Group prepares to open its third Willow-branded restaurant at Mulberry Walk in Mere Green.

The site, which has been vacant since Prezzo closed its doors 18 months ago, marks the Staffordshire-based group’s first venture into the Birmingham area.

Parogon Group, known for its portfolio of popular restaurants and pubs—including The Swan with Two Necks, The Orange Tree Bar and Grill, and Blockhouse Barbecue Grill—plans to unveil Willow Mere Green next month.

The Mediterranean-inspired eatery follows the success of its sister locations in Trentham and Telford. While the exact opening date is yet to be announced, anticipation is building for the newest addition to Mere Green’s culinary scene.

Willow promises a diverse menu celebrating the bold and fresh flavours of the Mediterranean coast. The restaurant will cater to early risers with breakfast offerings such as traditional cooked breakfasts and fluffy pancakes, while also serving an extensive lunch and dinner menu.

In a statement on its website, Willow teased the experience awaiting diners: "Get ready to experience Mediterranean-inspired dining at Willow Mere Green, where a relaxed yet refined atmosphere awaits. Whether you’re visiting for a leisurely breakfast, a casual lunch, or an evening meal, our menu celebrates the fresh, bold flavours of the Mediterranean coast. With a variety of dishes prepared to order, there’s something for everyone to enjoy."

The restaurant’s interior will reflect a Mediterranean aesthetic, described as “open, airy, and stylishly understated.” By day, the space will be bright and welcoming, while evenings will transform it into a cosy and softly lit ambiance, ideal for social gatherings or intimate dinners.
