Pancake Day is upon us and if you fancy a treat head out to some of the best cafes and restaurants in Birmingham for pancakes

Pancake Day normally falls in February, so it comes as a surprise this year that it’s landing on 1 March.

If you’ve been caught out and don’t have all the ingredients at home - or don’t fancy the mess - why not treat yourself to pancakes in a restaurant?

Here are some of the best places in Birmingham to get your fill on Shrove Tuesday.

Boston Tea Party

This city centre eatery has had lots of overwhelmingly positive reviews on their pancakes, so why not check them out yourself?

Open from 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm on Saturday and 8am to 4pm on Sundays, Boston Tea Party has two pancake offerings with either smoked bacon and maple syrup for £6.50 or seasonal compote and Greek yoghurt for £5.75.

Cherry Red’s Cafe Bar

This John Bright Street Cafe has a wide selection of food and drink, but the pancakes are what we’ll be after on 1 March.

The cafe has seven pancake options, priced between £5 and £10, with toppings ranging from maple syrup, to sausages and banana biscoff.

The Church Street cafe is located in a Victorian red-brick building, and will be open for your pancake needs this 1 March from 8am to 2.30pm.

Like their sister cafe, this Urban Cafe’s American style pancakes list is plentiful and varied.

Located in The Mailbox and open everyday apart from Mondays, the Gas Street Social is certainly a cosy place to enjoy pancakes.
