Review: We visit Birmingham's Louisiana inspired Seafood restaurant that's opened in the Arcadian
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
The restaurant is inspired by the original 'seafood boil' made famous in Louisiana in America’s deep south and opened its doors in the Arcadian the summer.
The renowned independent Birmingham restaurant team at Vietnamese Street Kitchen at St Martin’s Square at the Bullring and Resorts World have brought the Seafood City to The Arcadian - where Rozu used to be located.

The team has been working hard to create bold flavours and memorable experiences and the result is a lip-smackingly good mouth-watering menu that takes you on a tasty adventure capturing the best of the sea from lobsters, crab, shrimps, oysters, mussels, clams and crawfish.
I paid a visit to the venue last week to try out one of Birmingham’s most talked about new eateries.
There’s plenty of space for groups of people inside the venue. The 1700 square foot restaurant seats 99 people inside with a cocktail bar as the centrepiece, plus outdoor seating for lazy days in the sun, sipping cocktails.

There are also a range of beer and wine options, as well as shots and soft drinks to enjoy, too.
I had a side order of fried noodles and soy sauce with the main, which was the restaurant’s popular city boil dish. This includes: five king prawns, five fresh mussels, red roast potatoes, garlic bread and corn.
I ate at the restaurant during lunchtime so it wasn’t quite packed but my food arrived within around 20/25 minutes. The city boil was absolutely delicious and very filling. For me, the prawns were the highlight of the meal.

If you’re feeling extra hungry or sharing with friends, you can choose the city feast boil, fry or grill options for £24.50. You can explore the menu in full online here.
This was my first taste of Seafood City and it offers a dining experience unique from others in Birmingham with its US influence. The portions are excellent and the produce of the highest quality.
