Two Birmingham Wetherspoons pubs named among the top 10 worst rated in UK - full list

A Wetherspoons pub in Birmingham has been ranked the worst in the UK, according to new research

The research conducted by experts at Captain Caz analysed a list from the Wetherspoons website of 869 Wetherspoons pubs and hotels across the UK to establish which ones are the best and worst rated by the average total percentage of excellent reviews on Google Reviews.

For the second year in a row, The Atrium which is located inside of Birmingham NEC has received the lowest ranking according to Google reviews.

It’s received the fewest amount of excellent reviews. The pub is located amid the huge conference halls at the NEC where some of the UK’s biggest exhibitions and shows take place attracting millions of people.

The Elizabeth of York in Moseley received the 9th worst rating, according to the research.

The U.K. Wetherspoons with the fewest excellent-rated reviews are:

1. The Atrium in Birmingham, with a score of 20.19%

2. The Albany Palace in Wiltshire, with a score of 31.76%

3. The White Swan in London, with a score of 31.86%

4. Grover & Allen in Suffolk, with a score of 31.91%

5. The William Aylmer in Essex, with a score of 32.09%

6. The Flying Horse in Gatwick Airport, with a score of 32.38%

7. The Three Fishes in West Sussex, with a score of 32.63%

8. The Lord Wimborne in Dorset, with a score of 33.12%

9. The Elizabeth of York in West Midlands, with a score of 33.16%

10. The Standing Order in Hertfordshire, with a score of 33.21%

What’s been said about the figures?

A spokesperson for Captain Caz commented on the findings: "Brits love going to their local Wetherspoons, particularly due to its low prices for both food and drink.

“As we look towards the summer with longer evenings and more trips to the pub, this study offers a fascinating insight into which ‘locals’ really are the best and stand apart from the rest. Whilst the top ten see a variation when it comes to location, it does appear that pubs located in the South have higher ratings than further up North."
