Queen’s Platinum Jubilee 2022: TikTok baker unveils full size cake replica of the Queen at Buzz Bingo

The 5 foot 3 cake is entirely edible and can feed around 200 people.

TikTok baker Lara Mason has created a full size cake replica of the Queen to mark Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee.

Mason was commissioned by Buzz Bingo to create the hyper-realistic cake which was then served to players at Kingsbury Road in Erdington.

The 5 foot 3 inches tall cake took over five days for the TikTok star to build and used 400 eggs, 20kg of flour and 20kg of butter.

The edible Queen Elizabeth II was built out of victoria sponge and can serve around 200 people.

Mason produced the confectionery treat of the 96-year-old monarch with her blue sash symbolising her role as a member of the Royal Victoria Order and her silver jewels.

Lara Mason, who is also the creative director at Cake Anything, said: “This has been my biggest challenge in my career as The Queen is such a recognised and respected figure - I wanted to do her justice!

“I’ve loved recreating her image out of cake and I’m so delighted that Buzz Bingo approached me to help celebrate Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee.

“It’s been amazing to see the reaction from players today.”

A spokesperson from Buzz Bingo, said: “We loved kicking off The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations at Buzz Bingo Kingsbury Road this week with a life-size cake of The Queen.

“Not only was the cake visually impressive, it was absolutely delicious, too.

“Enjoying a slice of cake and a game of bingo was the perfectly British way to kick-start a very special weekend of celebrations.”

Buzz Bingo have organised a range of royal activities to get customers involved over the bank holiday, including offering players a free cup of tea and special Jubilee Cupcake until Sunday June 5th.
