Aston Villa are preparing to take on Bayern Munich in their first Champions League game at Villa Park this evening.
The Witton Arms pub in Aston unveiled a mural of late Villa icon and European Cup winning hero Gary Shaw this evening, and there has been a great atmosphere at the Aston pub ahead of kick-off with fans packing out the fan park in the venue’s garden.
Unai Emery’s side are welcoming Bayern Munich to Birmingham tonight (October 2) in a repeat of the 1982 European Cup final. The home side will look to summon the spirit of ‘82 and produce an upset win against Vincent Kompany’s Bundesliga league leaders on Wednesday.
It’s set to be a huge occasion with an electric atmosphere at Villa Park, too.
