The restaurant is being opened by the Big Mamma Group, and will be filled with 100% homemade Italian dishes sourced directly from their 170 Italian artisans, such as juicy Puglian burrata from Salvatore Montrone.

This 150-cover restaurant will be set in abundant dramatic scenery to live up to its namesake, complete with a whimsical 25-cover terrace.

The Big Mamma Group is a team of Italians from all over the world.  After a ten-year-long adventure, including being the first restaurant group to be awarded the B-Corp status in 2018 and opening acclaimed restaurants all over Europe - such as Pink Mamma in Paris, Bel Mondo in Madrid and most recently in Italy itself, with Gloria in Milan - the team have now set their sights on the UK’s second city with the Birmingham opening.

Speaking on the opening, Co-Founders Victor Lugger and Tigrane Seydoux have shared: ‘Our main goal as restaurateurs is to bring to life the warmth and generosity of those little trattorias you find hidden throughout Italy. La Bellezza will be the epitome of this.

“We are hugely excited to be coming to Birmingham, not only to be part of its incredibly vibrant restaurant community but to also bring our superb Italian products, which we spent 3 years personally sourcing from small family-run artisans, to another major European city.’

La Bellezza is set to open in a few months’ time at end of 2024 at Paradise, 2 Chamberlain Square.
