Summer is almost over as we head into September.
The UK has had its coolest summer since 2015, according to Met Office statistics, but plenty of great events have taken place across the city over the last few months.
We’ve taken a look back at some of the best events and festivals to take place across the city this year.
1. B-SIDE Hip-Hop Festival
The B-SIDE Hip-Hop Festival took place between June 6 and 9 at the Birmingham Hippodrome. The popular free event brought together extraordinary Hip-Hop artists and breathtaking acts from breakin’, graffiti, DJ’ing and MC’ing. | Birmingham Hippodrome
2. Birmingham Weekender
The Birmingham Weekender took place between August 23 and 26 with a weekend offering a vibrant mix of music, dance, theatre, and visual arts. There were brilliant street performances, pop-up installations, and interactive workshops that captivated audiences | Birmingham Weekender
3. Pairc Festival
Pairc festival returned to Birmingham over the August bank holiday with some brilliant performances. Riverdance took to the stage at the New Irish centre in Kings Heath, with Bob Geldof headlining on Sunday. Folk'd Up can be seen performing here | Jack Rogers
