Vegan food may not be everyone’s choice but it is nice to chomp down on a completely plant-based meal from time to time.
And, I may have found the most Instagrammable vegan eatery in the city. Strolling through Kings Heath High Street on a weekday afternoon - I was looking for a place to grab a quick bite and a vegan restaurant caught my eye.

Hide AdPlant N Plate with its bright pink exterior attracts the eye even if you are just walking past it. When you step inside, you will find that it’s decorated in lovely colours and floral hand painted artwork.
The place offers everything one could be looking for - coffee, tasty food, a great ambience and also colourful cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks.
Owner Lily Lengyel was working the restaurant by herself and her warm and friendly welcome made me take a seat instead of getting something to go.
A look around the restaurant and it’s clear that you can find a lot of vegan products here - including chocolate, candy, and deodorant as well as reading material.

Hide AdIt was a quiet afternoon at the restaurant - which also serves bottomless brunches and afternoon teas for two for around £35.
I ordered a grilled tofu and avocado sandwich with a flat white with oat milk - and it turned out to be the perfect afternoon meal on a busy work day.
All the dishes on the menu are vegan and use meat replacements but you can find many classic favourites like vegan Hoisin duck, hot dogs, burgers, vegan cheese cake and more.
The restaurant has a well-stocked bar and the menu revealed that it also serves fresh handcrafted pastry. You can also find some gluten free options on the menu as well as order food from the restaurant on Deliveroo and Uber Eats.
