It’s Cask Ale Week from tomorrow (September 21) and it the annual celebration of Britain’s national drink – cask beer! It is the best time to celebrate the local breweries and pubs in Birmingham - and there are dozens to pick from.
Whether you are in the city centre or in the neighbourhoods of Birmingham - you will find a place to try out cask ale. Several pubs are facing closure all over the country, including Birmingham and one of the best ways to support them is by visiting them.
Cask Ale Week is supported by the major trade organisations, brewers & pub groups as well as The Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA). So, we took a look at CAMRA’s Birmingham guide of where to find the real ales. From Jewellery Quarter and Birmingham city centre to Northfield and Moseley - there’s a real ale pub or bar that is worth visiting.
We could recommend to drink wisely even if you want to pub hop to all the real ale pubs that Birmingham has to offer. Here are 41 pubs in Birmingham where you will find real ale:
41. White Horse, Harborne
This is a small community pub just off the High Street in Harborne. The CAMRA guide says: “Serves beers from Ostlers brewery, based at the back of the pub, as well as guests on up to six hand pulls.” (Photo - Google Maps) | Google Maps
