We visited a popular Birmingham night spot for breakfast - and it was the best in the city
and live on Freeview channel 276
Move over brunch dates and make breakfast dates a thing instead. And, I have found the best place in Birmingham for it.
A bohemian bier palace and cook haus in Birmingham city centre has some of the best live entertainment in the evenings but its breakfast doesn’t get enough kudos.

Hide AdI visited Albert’s Schloss on a Saturday morning after dragging my husband out of the house on a weekend just for breakfast.
As I entered the venue, I was surprised by how huge it is given that I have passed by it several times and could never see the insides in its entirety.
The interiors are welcoming and cosy especially with a fire on in a brazier. The bright and sparkly insides would beat all tiredness away from anyone who visits.
We were taken to a nook where we had a clear view of fresh juice being made, which was tempting enough to ask for a glass.

From Turkish eggs to pastries to pancakes - there’s everything to meet your morning cravings here.
There is nothing sweeter than being able to share a crunchy pastry between my husband and I.
Topped with fresh strawberries, glazed with sugar syrup and filled with custard - I wanted the pastry to never end.

Hide AdI didn’t mean to have a multi-course breakfast but couldn’t resist ordering a maple bacon pancake with brown eggs.
The sweetness of the maple syrup and the umami bacon and eggs tasted close to what salted caramel tastes like.
The fluffiness of the pancakes ensured that this will not be the only breakfast visit that I make to Albert’s Schloss. It’s a haven for those who have a sweet tooth, just like me.
They have two options for pancakes - the maple bacon and eggs and the vanilla berries and cream, which looked more tempting thanks to all the fresh and colourful berries.

Hide AdEven my coffee came with an extra something - a tiny biscuit that could give french bakers a run for their money.
It’s the attention to detail that makes Albert’s Schloss such a great place to have a good time with friends and family.
And, of course - the bright and beautiful interiors dazzle at night when there are live performances on, but the quiet charm of a morning spent with a slow meal and one of the best coffees I have ever had makes mornings equally good to visit.
