Florence + The Machine announce rescheduled Birmingham date and new venue - how to get refund if you can’t go

Florence + The Machine was forced to reschedule their Birmingham show after the lead singer broke her foot.

Florence + The Machine have confirmed details of a rescheduled gig in Birmingham. The band were forced to cancel their UK tour after singer Florence Welch broke her foot.

The show was initially scheduled to take place at the city’s Utilita Arena on November 24, 2022. However due to availability, Florence + The Machine will now perform in a different venue next year.

Instead, the Indie band will put on a performance at Resorts World Arena on January 29 in 2023. The venue has a slightly lower capacity of 15,685 compared to the Utilita Arena’s 15,800.

Florence Welch confirmed the new dates via an Instagram post on Tuesday (November 29). She said: “We practice resurrection. Thank you so much for everyone’s kindness and understanding. See you very soon. F x”

Explaining the decision to change venues in Birmingham, she stated: “Please note the show scheduled at Birmingham Utilita Arena has been moved to Birmingham Resorts World Arena due to venue availability. For fans in Birmingham your point of purchase will contact you to arrange transfer of your tickets.”

How to get a refund for Florence + The Machine’s rescheduled Birmingham date

If for whatever reason you are unable to attend the new Birmingham date for Florence + The Machine, you will be able to request a refund for your tickets. You should be contacted directly by Utilita Arena to help you with the process, but if you wish to contact them first, visit the official Utilita Arena website for further information.

The Utilita Arena’s ticketing partner is The Ticket Factory, which has the following refund policy: “If your event is postponed your ticket will be valid for the rescheduled date. If you are unable to attend the rescheduled date you will be able to obtain a refund of the Ticket Price from the Ticket Supplier if you request it within 14 days of receiving communication from the Ticket Supplier regarding the postponement.
