National charity Blue Cross is looking for forever homes for cats at their Bromsgrove rehoming centre. They first opened in 1986 and have space for approximately 24 dogs and 24 cats, plus purpose-built puppy and kitten facilities.
If you are interested in making one these cats yours, you can visit by making an appointment or between 2.00pm and 4.00pm. They are closed to visitors without a pre-booked appointment on Wednesdays.
If you want to meet the pets in their care, it is ideal to make an appointment as lots of visitors can be stressful for the animals.
The cats in their care are ideal for people who don’t have children at home or have older children, who can give space to the kitties. The cats at the Blue Cross rehoming centre in Bromsgrove are aged between two to 15. Whether you’re looking for an active cat or one that minds it own business and wants to laze around - you will find one to your liking.
So, if you are ready to bring a cat home, you can set up an appointment to meet them and then fill in an application so that the process is as fair as possible to everyone.
Here are six of the adorable cats waiting for a forever home:
1. Ziggy
Ziggy is a 2-year-old Domestic Short Hair. Ziggy is looking for a quiet home, where he can settle in and find his paws. He is a playful cat, however he needs to get to know you first. He will need a new home, where there are no other pets. Ziggy does seem to enjoy a little attention, but can also be very conflicting at times and can sometimes get worried. Due to this he will not be able to live with young children. (Photo - Blue Cross Bromsgrove) | blue cross
2. Chloe
Chloe might not look it but she’s 15. Unfortunately, she has impaired vision in one eye and could potentially lose all sight in that eye later. However, her other eye is working just fine and she knows where to find you for love and food. She will need a quiet home with no young children as she would really like to spend her days just lazing about and watching the world go by, and not be worried about getting under a little persons feet while they are playing. She would prefer to live as the only pet in the home. (Photo - Blue Cross Bromsgrove) | Blue Cross
3. Bella
She is a 9-year-old Domestic Short Hair. Bella is looking for a quiet home with understanding and patient owners. She would prefer a home without children and without any other pets. Once settled in a new home then Bella would need to have access outside. (Photo - Blue Cross Bromsgrove) | blue cross
4. Cassie
She is a 3-year-old Domestic Short Hair. Cassie is quite the character and is finding cattery life very difficult to make close relationships and much prefers to have a close relationship to a couple of familiar people. Ideally Cassie will be the only pet and have plenty of room to run around and play in her new abode. She will need access outdoors to give her chance to explore and climb things when she is ready. Cassie could live with older teenage aged children who would be able to read her body language and know when to give her space. (Photo - Blue Cross Bromsgrove) | Blue cross
