There are dozens of dogs at the Birmingham Dogs Home that are looking for a forever home. They have been either abandoned or rescued and are looking for a loving home and family that would give them a second chance.
As much as you can help a dog, they can give back with their love many times over. They can be lap dogs, protectors, snuggle buddies and a lot more. You can even find dogs that are the right fit for your lifestyle.
When you adopt a dog, you can work with the shelter staff to find a dog that fits your lifestyle and personality. They might be able to find a dog matching your energy level, temperament, and even a size that will work well with your family and living situation.
Some of the dogs also have basic training and you don’t start from scratch. You can even train your dogs to do more and take them to dog shows like Crufts in Birmingham.
If you are ready to bring a dog home, here are eight of the few dogs up for adoption at Birmingham Dogs Home:
1. Kane
He is a 2-year-old German Shepherd. He is a very shy boy looking for a family who are willing to do multiple meets to help him out of his shell. He is apprehensive of new people, especially more towards men, but is a rewarding dog once he gets to know you.
2. Timmy
Timmy is a one year old XL Bully. He is an active boy looking for a home where he can run around happily and continue his basic training and socialisation. He could live with another high energy dog after meeting at the centre and would need patient humans.
3. Kaiser
He is 3.5 years old and a Cane Corso. He is a big softie who loves all the cuddles and affection. He is looking for a home where he won’t be left alone. He is friendly and loves playing with toys.
4. Zoe
She is a Germany Shepherd , who is less than 2 years old. She needs a good fuss and a cuddle and is looking for new owners who can take her on plenty of walks to burn off energy, along with helping her further with basic training and socialisation.
