Cats are curious and interesting animals to have around. They can be loving and cuddly one moment but would want their own space the next, but that’s their charm and cat lovers won’t have it any other way.
Having a cat as a pet has become hugely popular over the years and why not, they are the kings and queens of social media. The sheer number of cat videos on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok is mind-boggling, but it also shows how much people have taken to having cats as pets.
And, animal charity RSPCA in Birmingham is caring for several adorable cats. The charity makes it easy to find the perfect cat for you since they share the history and circumstances in which the cat was found as well as their personalities.
So, whether you are looking for a lap cat or an independent explorer, here are eight cats that will fit the bill:
1. Sid
Sid’s main love is his freedom and any opportunity he will break free from his pod and he loves being out on the floor, so the RSPCA feel that he will love the outside and being able to explore. He will need an all adult home with no other animals, or children visiting.
2. Binx
He will come straight over for fuss and give us a headbump asking for more and he has a lovely purr! He enjoys being groomed and takes this as more fuss and attention. He would suit a family home and he could live with children of a late primary school age or above.
3. Tiger
Tiger had been living on the streets for quite some time living off the kindness of the locals but when they noticed he was injured they called the RSPCA to help. He has learnt to take care of himself so he is quite an independent boy, but he enjoys a fuss. He would like to be the only animal in the house.
4. Magpie
He is quite chatty and he enjoys having fuss. His carers have found that he loves a catnip toy and he will roll around playing and he also likes interactive playtime as well. He would suit a quiet home to match his quiet personality, he could live with children of a secondary school age and above.
