Birmingham RSPCA has several cute bunnies that are looking for a forever home, and that can be part of your Easter tradition this year.
Going on egg hunts is fun but imagine if you could have your own rabbit at home. They make for good companions as rabbits are intelligent and active animals who love to dig, hide, run, jump, and stretch. They can live indoors as long as they have some outside space to hop around in.
The bunnies with RSPCA are neutered and that is something to keep in mind even when you buy a bunny. Many owners find their bunnies breeding out of control when they don’t neuter their pets. The PDSA found more than a third of the 900,000 UK pet rabbits were not neutered in May 2021.
RSPCA recently rescued more than 160 rabbits when they were found in overcrowded conditions in a garage in Leicestershire. They were then transported on to RSPCA centres in Berkshire, Gloucestershire, Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire and Hampshire.
When we adopt a pet from the RSCPA, it makes space for other animals that might need help from them.
So, here are eight rabbits that are looking for a forever home this Easter:

1. Isabela & Mirabel
These girls are very friendly and cheeky, they are very well bonded so we are looking for them to be rehomed together. They will come over to greet us to say hello and accept fuss and they love their veggies. Birmingham RSPCA feel these girls would suit a family home and they could live with children. | Birmingham RSPCA

2. Acorn
He is very clean in his accommodation and normally uses his litter tray so he could be rehomed as a house bunny as long as he had access to outdoors to have a run about! He loves his veggies and he becomes quite excited at dinner time. He can be rehomed with a female companion now that he has been neutered. He could live with in a family home with young children as long as he is given the space he needs to settle initially. | RSPCA Birmingham

3. Bok Choy (white) & Cavolo Nero (Grey
Cavolo Nero has been very confident since he arrived and he is good being handled. He is quite inquisitive and he enjoys his freedom! He will come forward for fuss and treats but isn’t keen on being picked up. Bok Choy was quite the opposite when she arrived and it took her a while to settle in with us but positive time she is gaining confidence and responding well to being in our company. RSPCA Birmingham’s staff feel these bunnies will suit a quiet home with no young children. They could live as house rabbits providing they have plenty of enrichment and time outside to hop around. | RSPCA Birmingham

4. Walnut
He is getting better with his litter tray so with more training he could be rehomed as a house bunny. RSPCA Birmingham are looking for Walnut to be rehomed with a female companion, he will need a slow introduction and bonding process. This sweet boy will suit a family home and he could live with children. | RSPCA Birmingham
