The five most expensive streets in and around Birmingham: Full list includes Solihull & Sutton Coldfield

Halifax has revealed the UK’s most expensive streets - and five of them are in the West Midlands

Halifax has revealed West Midlands’s most expensive streets with a road in Solihull topping the list.

The five most expensive streets in the West Midlands are distributed among Solihull and Sutton Coldfield - two in Solihull and three in Sutton Coldfield.

On the most expensive street in the West Midlands houses cost an average £2,341,00. On the fifth most expensive street residential property costs on average £1,825,000.

The most expensive street in the UK is in London, it is Phillimore Gardens in Holland Park, where the average house costs a whopping £24m.

Kim Kinnaird, Mortgages Director, Halifax said: “For almost all of us, these homes and their eye-watering price tags are the stuff fantasy house hunts are made of.

“Unsurprisingly, London roads occupy the top 10 streets in the UK, and buying a home on London’s Phillimore Gardens could set you back a staggering £24 million on average. That said, the price of a prestigious address can differ hugely across the UK. Living on the most expensive street in the North East or East Midlands will cost something closer to £1.5 million.”

The transaction data is sourced from the Land Registry and Royal Mail for the period between January 2017 and September 2022.
