Using data from GOV.UK, Law Trucks has analysed the most popular driving test centres across the UK to reveal which are the easiest and hardest to pass at.
Law Trucks have created their Driving Test Report, which helped rank test centres in Birmingham based on their average pass rate over a year period.
The analysis revealed substantial differences in pass rates across Birmingham’s driving test centres, highlighting factors that can influence success rates such as local traffic levels, route complexity, and road layouts.
Some centres in Birmingham have routes that are simpler and less congested, contributing to higher pass rates, while others present challenges with busier streets, multiple roundabouts, and complex manoeuvres.
The data around each test centre's pass rate in Birmingham was taken from GOV.UK, which took an average from April 2023 – March 2024.
1. Shirley test centre has the highest pass rate in Birmingham at 53.2%, which is higher than the national average

2. The Kings Heath test centre has the second highest pass rate in Birmingham at 44.1%, but falls below the national average.
