Animal charity Birmingham Dogs Home have several dogs up for adoption and you can make them yours. Dogs are great company to families of all sizes - whether you have a child, are solo or are a couple.
With the charity having several kinds of dogs, you are likely going to find your perfect fit based on your needs. Whether you are looking for an active companion or a quiet one - there’s dogs of various breeds and ages to fit the bill.
Having a pet is incredibly helpful towards improving our mental health as they give us something positive to focus on, according to PDSA. Walking a dog every day is also great for our health and being outdoors has a positive impact on our moods. Not only that, who can ignore their adorable and silly antics and behaviours as well.
If you want to adopt any of the dogs staying at Birmingham Dogs Home, contact them through their website. In the meantime, here are eight dogs looking for a second chance and a loving family:

1. Kane
Kane is a gorgeous but complex boy, looking for a patient and understanding home to call his own. Kane came into the centre as a stray and was quite wary of new people and situations. A quiet, calm home with minimal visitors would be the most suitable for this sweet boy. This will allow him to take things at his own pace, for his soft sweet side to come out. He is a 2-year-old German Shepherd Dog. | Birmingham Dogs Home

2. Maple
Maple is a 1year 1month old Malinois dog. The charity is looking for owners who have experience with the breed due to her needs. She is extremely clever and has already learnt plenty of tricks already such as sit, stay, give paw and lie down, all for a treat of course! Due to Maple’s dog reactivity, they have been working on muzzle training in the centre. She is also having ‘watch me’ training which the new owners will need to continue with in her new home. | Birmingham Dogs Home

3. Badger
This good boy is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. The charity are looking for an active, breed experienced home for him as he is a very lovely, gorgeous looking boy who loves people but unfortunately he is not sociable with other dogs, so his new family would be able to deal with this and be prepared to work on this behavior. | Birmingham Dogs Home

4. Fiona
She is a staffie cross who is super full of life and loves to play with toys and have zoomies. Fiona is very sweet and playful, and her energy level is off the charts! She loves to run around and play with her toys, but her absolute favourite has got to be balls! She’s a great little fetcher and will be very entertained chasing balls. Fiona has the potential to be rehomed with children aged 8 and above children but at times she can sometimes be a little boisterous, so the charity thinks she’d be best suited to a household with older children. | Birmingham Dogs Home
