Animal charity Birmingham Dogs Home have several dogs up for adoption and you can could make them your family. They are a great addition to all kinds of households. Whether you live alone or with others -dogs can be great for everyone.
The animal charity has different kinds of dogs that will be suitable for your living situation. From different sizes to different breeds - they are a great place to adopt a dog from.
Dogs are also incredibly helpful towards improving our mental health as they give us something positive to focus on, according to PDSA. Walking them every day is great for our health and they lift our moods - with their silly antics and behaviours - as well.
If you want to adopt any of the dogs staying at Birmingham Dogs Home, contact them through their website.
In the meantime, here are seven dogs looking for a second chance and a loving family:

1. Alaska
Alaska is an Akita dog. Alaska is a sweet girl who likes to explore when out for walks and will come over for a good fuss. She is not keen on people touching her food bowl and will need her space whilst she eats. Alaska will be best suited in an understanding home, with older sensible children who will take things slow. She is selective when it comes to other dogs so she would benefit from being in an only dog home. | brum dogs home

2. Bonnie
Bonnie is a fantastic dog when managed and handled correctly, under her new training plan she has improved greatly but will need lifelong management from her new owners. She is a Labrador around 2.5 years old. | Birmingham Dogs Home

3. Zeus
Zeus is looking for a home where he is the only pet and with owners who have had experience of large, guardian breeds. Because of this he is looking for an adult only home. He is a Turkish Kangal around 10 months old. | Birmingham Dogs Home

4. Kaiser
Kaiser is a Dutch Shepherd dog. Kaiser is a very playful boy who loves his toys! He is typical Shepard so his new owners will need experience of the breed and there need to protect people they trust. He would need an active home where he can go on long walks and burn off all his energy. He can react to new people at first so will need owners that can commit to doing multiple meets to gain his trust and build that bond. Once he’s gained that trust he is a rewarding dog that loves affection and a good cuddle. | Birmingham Dogs Home
