The first gig we ever watched is likely a memory that stays with most of us. We would imagine that the excitement - ours and the rest of the audience - can be an experience hard to forget!
However, many people have been reporting post-concert amnesia. For instance, many Taylor Swift fans report they were so excited for her gig that they actually can’t recall the details from them and she is likely not the only one to have caused post-concert amnesia.
Fortunately, Brummies have good memories and when we asked what their first gigs were, BirminghamWorld readers shared their incredible memories with us.
Even those whose first gig was in 1959 or the early 60s, clearly recalled where they watched an artist perform at a gig for the first time in Birmingham. Here are 36 bands and artists that Brummies told us they saw for the first time live in their home city:

1. Duran Duran, NEC, 1983
