Birmingham has many pet adoption centres, including animal charity Cats Protection, where prospective cat owners can find an adorable feline friend.
Cats Protection adoption centre is located in Packhorse Lane, Hollywood, Birmingham and is open six days a week. However, those who want to adopt can express interest in a particular cat via their listing.
During the process of adopting a cat from Cats Protection, the staff consider everything from your potential pet’s personality to how that fits with your lifestyle to ensure you and your cat are a perfect match.
Cats can become a lovely addition to anyone’s family, no matter the size of your family. Their quirky behaviour is enough to keep anyone entertained for hours and they trust you - there is no other snuggle like a cat snuggle. If you have decided that you are going to bring a feline friend home, here are 13 adorable cats that are up for adoption:
5. Burt
Having lived all his live as an indoor cat, three-year-old Burt would benefit from the chance to explore the great outdoors in his new home and take things at his own pace. A quiet home would suit Burt so a home without children would suit him best although the centre believes he could live with an older family after a controlled introduction. The centre’s staff and volunteers are keen to see Burt settled in a home so that he can start really enjoying his life. | cats protection

6. Colin
At four months old, Colin is full of beans and enjoys getting into kitten-mischief! The playful, affectionate boy would be comfortable living with other cats but as he’s only young he’s not yet had the chance to meet any dogs so the centre cannot be sure that he would live well with a canine family-member. An older family would suit him well, however, as well as a home with a garden where he can burn off energy and explore the world around him for the first time. | cats protection
7. Suzie
Tortoiseshell-and-white Suzie was a stray for over six months and despite having managed to fend for herself, would enjoy living with an older family where she can be pampered and explore the garden, finding new spaces to hide. She has a lot of love to give and would make and excellent companion. | cats protection

8. Frank
Characterful Frank has ben struggling to get used to life at the centre, but the team believes he will thrive in a new. Homely environment where he can gain confidence and perhaps live with another cat. The four-year-old would rather not live with children and would enjoy some outdoor space to feel the breeze in his fur. | cats protection
