Not every MaccyD is made equal, according to customers. People have their favourite locations and then the ones they have vouched to never return to.

Visitors and residents of Birmingham have rated various McDonald’s outlets in the city based on their experience. While some of them receive multiple stars, others not so much.

However, most people have visited at least one and are not immune to the great tasting burgers and fries. While the menu is identical in almost all of them in the UK, the reviews of the restaurants show that each venue is not.

So, here are the five best McDonald’s restaurants in Birmingham, based on Tripadvisor reviews:

1. Temple Row, Birmingham City Centre - 3.5/5

The Temple Row venue has 3.5/5 but it has only nine reviews on Tripadvisor and most of them are positive.

One reviewer wrote: “Food and service is excellent here. However, very over crowded due to it being very very busy. This is because of the Christmas rush and with the German markets but the food is a rip off at German markets and people want value for money. So get the food 80% cheaper.”

Not everyone likes it as much as this reviewer as two people said it was “poor”.

2. New Street, Birmingham City Centre - 3 /5

This location has more than a hundred reviews and most of them have rated the food, service, and value more than three.

One reviewer said: “Not too busy when I entered the restaurant at am and didn’t wait at all to be served by the friendly Hasma? For under £3.50 I enjoyed a egg and cheese muffin, hash brown and a coffee; no frowns when I asked for ketchup! Food was cooked to the correct temperature.”

However, not everyone thinks that it’s a great place to grab a meal with 11 people categorised it as “poor”.

3. Stechford Retail Park- 3/5

4. Edgbaston - 2.5/5

The venue has only 2.5/5 and 55 reviews on the travel website. While some people think that it provides excellent table service others said it was useless to visit unless you have a car. People also commended the professional staff at the site.

One reviewer wrote: “I was to commend the staff at the McDonald’s at 5 Bristol Road for their professionalism. They dealt with an extremely rude man who was shouting at every staff member in such a calm and professional manner. The actions of the man were completely out of order and I’m sorry that the staff have to deal with encounters like that.”

However, not everyone has had the same experience since at least 21 people called the venue “terrible”.

5. The Fort Shopping Park - 2/5

The restaurant is located in The Fort Shopping Park in Birmingham. While some reviewers said it’s good to grab a quick bite others complimented particular staff members.

One reviewer said: “Good quick drive-thru place! Can’t beat a Big Mac but the new Mc Spicey gives it a run for it’s money!”

However, not everyone was pleased and some said that the food was cold and others complained that the food was served late.
